Local Employment & Procurement
We prioritise local contractors and suppliers during construction, and our operational teams are drawn from the regions where our projects are located.
Before we assess wind speeds or solar yields, we sit down with the people who know the land best — the farmers, families, First Nations peoples, and communities who have called these regions home for generations.
That's why we take the time to listen, to understand what matters to you, and to ensure our projects deliver genuine, lasting benefits to the communities that host them.
From the Hunter Valley to regional Victoria, we're building relationships that extend well beyond construction. Our team remain engaged throughout the life of each project, ensuring open communication and addressing concerns as they arise.
We believe the communities that host renewable energy projects should share in their success. That's why we commit to local procurement, employment opportunities, and direct investment in the initiatives that matter most to regional Australia.

From women's sports programs to regional libraries, we support the organisations that bring communities together. Our partnerships with LBW Trust, a not for profit organisation than manages and measures contrinutions, reflect our commitment to regional life beyond energy.
Each CleanGen project includes a dedicated community benefit fund, providing ongoing financial support for local priorities identified by the local community.
CleanGen acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise that the Country we work on has been cared for by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for tens of thousands of years.
Our commitment to reconciliation goes beyond acknowledgement. CleanGen has registered with Reconciliation Australia and is currently developing our Reflect RAP — the first step in our formal reconciliation journey. We actively engage with First Nations communities in the planning and development of our projects, and we are committed to partnering with Aboriginal artists, creating local employment opportunities, and supporting Indigenous businesses across the regions we work in.
